Questions people ask
How do I work out charging cost?
kWh added ÷ charging efficiency × price per kWh. A 75 kWh battery charged from 20% to 80% takes 45 kWh, about 50 kWh from the wall.
Why stop at 80%?
Charging slows a lot above 80%, and most makers suggest 80% for daily use to look after the battery.
How much does public charging cost?
Rapid chargers often charge two to four times a home rate. Off-peak EV tariffs at home are the cheapest way to charge.
