About goodcalcs

Updated on 1 Oct 2026

We build money calculators that use your country’s real rules and show their working, so you can make a money decision without guessing. No sign-up, no paywall, and ads never change a result.

Why we started

Most calculator sites bury the answer under ads and pop-ups, and many still use last year’s tax rules. We wanted one place for money questions where the answer comes first, the formula is on the page, the official source is linked, and every number is in the format you use at home.

Who checks the numbers

Every calculator is checked against the official rules and the tax authority’s own worked examples (IRS, HMRC, CRA, ATO, Revenue, IRD and MOHRE) before each new tax year. The person responsible for accuracy is named at the top and bottom of every page, with the date it was last updated. We plan to add a review by a qualified accountant in each country, shown as “Reviewed by” when it happens.

How we make money

Each calculator has one labelled sponsor card under the working, and sometimes an offer from a partner who can help with the next step. Partners pay us, but they never see or change your numbers, and your inputs stay on your device unless you choose to send them.
